Founded the Mornington branch of Extreme Jiu Jitsu and Grappling in May 2006.
Originally began Martial Arts training with Shukokai Karate in 1982 aged 7 years under Sensei Paul Mitchell. Graded to 4th Dan Black Belt by Kawata Shihan 9th dan in 2005 at 30 years of age and awarded the teaching rank of Shidoin (International Instructor).
Began Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training with Coach John Donehue on his return from the USA in 1999. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Grades achieved under Coach John Donehue; Blue belt 2003, Purple belt 2007, Brown belt 2012 and Black Belt in 2014.
Competed in AFBJJ Pan Pacs, Vics, Champions Cup since 2006 and currently registered black belt competitor with AFBJJ. BJJ Tournament results include; Champions Cup Oct 2007 Purple belt Open and 97kg Gold, Champions Cup Oct 2008 Purple Belt Open Bronze and 97kg Silver.
